This follow-up project aims to enhance the research project - Decentralized, self-organized rough planning of intralogistics systems with a multi-agent system- (DEPIAS) by developing an integrated layout planning and material handling equipment selection approach. We are currently assuming that the layout of the intralogistics system is in accordance with the conventional material handling planning process manually generated. This means that the Dimensions and Position of material handling equipments are constant. Based on these constant values generats the developed multi-agent system various concepts and solutions, which are assigned in a prioritization list. In this respect, an agent-based function model is required to incorporate dynamic restriction and objectives of the layout planning. The utilization of this model leads to possible solutions which encompass all functional ranges, are replicable, economical and compatible with one another, as well as takes economic objectives (reducing costs for buildings, transport, storage, organization, etc.) and functional objectives (throughput time of orders, increase transparency, etc.) of layout planning into account.
