Peptide models for generation and control of multivalent interactions (A05)

Subject Area Organic Molecular Chemistry - Synthesis and Characterisation
Inorganic Molecular Chemistry - Synthesis and Characterisation
Term from 2008 to 2019
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 32049920

The concepts that have been optimized in previous work will now be applied to scientific problems of biological relevance. Subproject 1 is dedicated to the development of short peptidic scaffolds that exploit aromatic and unnatural amino acids to promote their own self-organization and present virus-binding and other ligands in a multivalent fashion. In subproject 2 various coiled coil-based glycopeptides will be developed for the purpose of elucidating structurally under-investigated yet immunologically relevant CTL-Receptors and their cross-talk. Knowledge gained from both of these subprojects will be used to develop diagnostic assays.
