Project Details
Strategies for Piezo-Actuated Assisted Disassembly of Bolted Joints (T16#)
Subject Area
Joining and Separation Technology
Term
since 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 119193472
The transfer project aims to extend the results achieved in subproject A5 on component-friendly disassembly to operationally solidified bolted joints. Conventional disassembly methods bear the risk of damaging bolts, which leads, i.e., to an unscheduled inspection of further components and laborious post-processing. Together with the application partner MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH, processes are being developed to reduce the torques occurring during disassembly by applying multivariate piezo-actuator-generated vibrations adapted to the operating condition.
