Project Details
Logistics-Oriented Spare Parts Management for Aircraft Engine Regeneration (T11#)
Subject Area
Production Systems, Operations Management, Quality Management and Factory Planning
Term
since 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 119193472
Project T11 transfers findings on capacity demand forecasting and inventory dimensioning subproject D1 to the spare parts management of MTU Maintenance Hannover GmbH. Therefore, the project focuses on developing a method for spare parts demand forecasting and on linking it to a model-based inventory management system. The project includes the extension of pool inventory dimensioning approaches by the description of two-level pool structures (repairable and serviceable). This allows the development of an evaluation method for procurement opportunities in terms of logistical potential and financial risk.
