With this DFG funded project, the University of Wuppertal together with the university library wants to shape the Open Access transformation process at its institution. This includes not only additional financial support for researchers publishing their scientific results open access, but also the realignment of the existing literature funding distribution. A prerequisite for the introduction of a budget component based on publication figures are reliable structures for recording university-wide expenditure on costs of all kinds incurred in publishing scientific results. Another task of the project is to determine publication costs in a standardized way in order to contribute to the cost transparency of open access publishing across universities.
