Project Details
Strong Light-Matter Coupling with N-heteropolycycles and their Radicals (C09)
Subject Area
Physical Chemistry of Molecules, Liquids and Interfaces, Biophysical Chemistry
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281029004
The field of molecular polaritonics is concerned with the properties of molecules in resonant optical cavities and the formation of hybrid light-matter particles called polaritons. Strong light-matter coupling of selected N-heteropolycycles will be used to suppress or enhance certain photochemical processes. Furthermore, polaritons of organic radicals and radical ions in resonant optical cavities will be demonstrated and manipulated.
