The world is rich with constant sensory stimulation across multiple modalities, and attending to particular moments in time is a key cognitive capacity instrumental in survival. Our project focuses on the utilisation of temporal information in multisensory contexts and will determine the potential to enhance these cognitive processes through external feedback and multisensory training. Using complementary neuroimaging techniques in mice and humans, we will provide insights into utilising temporal attention for the generation, maintenance, and update of multisensory stimulus representations and memory traces across the lifespan.
