Term

Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 374031971
We want to analyse the CXCR4/ACKR3 interplay as well as identify the ACKR3 interactome and underlying signalling pathways for platelet function. Mouse experiments will focus on the influence of comorbidities in myocardial infarction and the impact of platelets on thrombo-inflammation and ventricular remodelling following ischaemia/reperfusion (I/R) of the heart. The experimental research will be complemented by studying the role of CXCR4/ACKR3 in humans with acute myocardial infarction. The translational aspect of the project will be to define ACKR3 as potential therapeutic target in I/R.
