Role of endothelial ADAR1 in vascular growth and homeostasis (B12*)

ADAR1 catalyses the editing of adenosine-to-inosine in double-stranded RNAs. The milestones of this proposal are to identify of the role of ADAR1 in vascular development and homeostasis in vivo. We have already observed that endothelial ADAR1 is indispensable for vascular growth and homeostasis in vivo. Therefore, we will now fully characterize the phenotype of EC-deficient ADAR1 mice and delineate the underlying molecular mechanisms.
