Multipfad-Interferenztests der Quantenmechanik
Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
In this project, we addressed multiple physical phenomena. The novelty of our work comes from combining insights from integrated optics with quantum photonics in order to explore fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics, for the advancement of fundamental science as well as photonic and electronic applications. By exploiting the multiple degrees of freedom of laser-written integrated photonic quantum circuits, we were able to fabricate novel photonic devices with unprecedented properties, led the theoretical foundation for their description and understanding, and demonstrated enhanced performance. In detail, our results comprise: • the first demonstration of a mechanically switchable on-chip 3-arm interferometer • the proposition how to explore advanced-retarded differential equations using an optical setting • the first demonstration of a heralded photonic C-NOT gate • the proposition and demonstration of scalable on-chip quantum state tomography • the proposition and demonstration of inline detection and reconstruction of multiphoton quantum states.
