Some central invariants in the arithmetic of varieties over finite, local and global fields are obtained by the computation of various cohomology groups. Here one encounters unramified, tamely ramified and wildly ramified phenomena. In the second period of this project we will continue to study local-global principles in various situations, apply new duality theorems for studying wild ramification of sheaves and schemes, and complete a cohomology theory which relates to various other p-adic theories.
