The vision of the project is a cognitive surgical assistant for laparoscopic surgery which provides a context-aware assistance function, e.g. the prediction of complications or robotic assistance functions. The focus is a process-orientated analysis of the whole surgical treatment path based on the operation room of the future. Therefore sensor- as well as patient-data is analyzed and interpreted with regard to historical treatment cases.
