Project Details
Role of p73-directed chromatin alterations for neuroendocrine differentiation in small cell lung cancer (A10)
Subject Area
General Genetics and Functional Genome Biology
Term
from 2010 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 109546710
The p53 family gene TP73 encodes the transactivating, tumor suppressive transcription factor TAp73 and the transrepressing, oncogenic isoform Np73. Because of genetic and epigenetic TP73 alterations, TAp73 and Np73 expression are frequently upregulated in neuroendocrine small cell lung cancer (SCLC). The project investigates the role of p73-directed chromatin changes for neuroendocrine differentiation, SCLC pathogenesis and therapy.
