Damage assessment of urban structures will be enhanced in Subproject D3 such that expected structural damage due to altered alignments or changes of the process parameters during con-struction can be evaluated and visualized in real-time. Also, the accuracy of the resulting predictions can be rated in realtime. The new visual design tool will be used for the interactive design in association with Subproject D1 and for the support of the construction process to replace expen-sive re-calculations in case of unexpected events. Project parameters that are being considered will be the tunnel alignment, compensation measures and settlement related steering parameters of the tunnel boring machine.
