Term

Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 107540325
The goal of subproject M8 is mathematical modelling, analysis and simulation of the spatiotemporal development of pathologically altered trabecular bone tissue with and without an influence from bone substitute materials, drugs released from implants and malignant plasma cells. In this project, research is focused on the following fields: 1) effects of bone cell population dynamics, mechanical stimuli and drugs on bone remodelling, 2) population dynamics of malignant plasma cells in multiple myeloma with special attention to clonal dynamics and 3) analysis of cell migration, especially during colonization and vascularization of collagen scaffolds and during the immune response in bone healing.
