Project Details
Regeneration-induced Variance of Aeroelastic Properties of Turbine Blades (C04)
Subject Area
Hydraulic and Turbo Engines and Piston Engines
Term
from 2010 to 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 119193472
The objective of the sub-project is to determine the influence of thermal streaks on the aerodynamic excitation of the blading due to perturbations influencing multiple modules. For this purpose, cold streaks are applied in a multi-stage axial turbine. The number and amount of cold streaks are varied, as well as the axial position of the formation of such cold streaks is changed. The sensitivity of the excitation is determined numerically and experimentally. In addition, a probabilistic analysis of regeneration-induced variances is performed in order to determine critical vibration states of the blading as a function of combined geometric variances.
