The goal of DFG Project on communication in transdisciplinary projects is to analyze the conflict between transdisciplinary ambitions and expectations and disciplinary demands and conditions in the workflow of transdisciplinary scientific projects. Therefore, the project is investigating the following questions: 1) Which communication problems occur in transdisciplinary projects from a typological view, 2) in which state of the project and at which pace of the workflow which kind of problems occur, 3) what are the reasons for the problems, 4) which problem solving stategies the participants of the projects kinds can choose, 4) which interactive and discourse roles do participants take on when facing such problems,5) which influences take the transdiciplinary ambitions to the constitution of knowledge?
