Within subproject A1 metallo-ceramic paper as well as fiber reinforced paper will be developed and subsequently formed into a corrugated paper. Using cold ceramic joining technology the flat and corrugated papers will be combined to macrostructures. After sintering the mechanical properties of the structures will be characterized. The explored joining technology will also be used for the fabrication of different macrostructures based on full, hollow as well as graded layer beads, whose mechanical properties will be characterized afterwards. Furthermore, the technology of flame spraying will be investigated to deposit layers with phase transformable ZrO2 onto metallic TRIP-steel substrates
