Kaon and light quark physics (A13)
Subject Area
Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity, Fields
Term
from 2008 to 2020
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 35592816
Expanding on previous results concerning hadron masses and isospin splittings, quark masses and weak matrix elements, we propose to compute, from first principles, the individual masses of the up- and the down- quark, the decay constants of light pseudoscalar mesons and generic matrix elements describing CP violation in standard model extensions. Electromagnetic effects for these observables will be studied and included whenever possible and the application of the corresponding techniques to other computations will be investigated.
