Model-based prediction and assessment of change impacts in manufacturing systems (B04)

The objective of subproject B04 is to develop a method for the prediction and assessment of changes in manufacturing systems. Major challenges to be resolved in order to reach the project's objective are the development of a graph based domain specific modeling approach for manufacturing systems, the deduction of monetary and non-monetary criteria to assess change impacts, the development of a method for the analysis and prediction of change propagation in manufacturing systems, as well as the application and evaluation of the method in industrial practice to identify suggestions for improvement. Finally, the approach will be integrated into the process of systemic manufacturing change management.
