Supporting management of cycles in innovation processes with computer-aided tools requires new methods that provide for highly dynamic knowledge creation and evolution as well as integration of inter-related knowledge. Targeting cycles in design, this subproject develops formal representations to capture engineering product and process knowledge that are integrated in a new framework for networking, re-using and evolving distributed knowledge. Applications considered include generative design and defining design languages to capture, validate and integrate the dynamic influences of production and market cycles on the evolving product platform.
