Project Details
Magnetoelectric effect in wurtzite-perovskite-spinel heterostructures grown by laser-MBE (A02)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2008 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 31047526
We will investigate the correlation of magnetoelectric coupling in multiferroic BaTiO3-BiFeO3 composite thin films with their microstructure and the magnetic spin structure. The aim is to understand the magnetoelectric strain coupling on a microscopic length scale. The electrical conductivity in LaNiO3-LaAlO3-(111) superlattices will be explored to proof the existence of theoretically predicted topological phases. Furthermore, is this project the growth project for the projects within the collaborative research centre.
