SFB 530: Spatio-Temporal Interactions of Cellular Signalling Molecules
Subject Area
Biology
Medicine
Medicine
Term
from 1999 to 2011
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 5483434
The collaborative research centre investigates interactions of cellular signal molecules (Ca and proteins) with high resolution using emerging imaging technology together with biochemical, biophysical and transgenic approaches. The research projects focus on elementary processes such as protein transport, ionic currents, and the release of neurotransmitters. In a concerted approach, signal molecules, their interactions and the processes resulting from these interactions will be integrated to understand cell functions including secretion, activation mechanisms of immune competent cells, and synaptic transmission.
