Project Details
Longitudinal monitoring in affective disorders: real-time mobile assessment for the early recognition of symptom changes (A01)
Subject Area
Clinical Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Term
since 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 521379614
Continuous monitoring of mobile phone data combined with real-time analyses has the potential to resolve core issues of research in affective disorders: the early detection, prediction, and prevention of symptom changes and new episodes. The project aims (i) to evaluate established mobile phone data models for early warning signs to ensure the comparability of our results with previous work; (ii) examines new smart digital phenotypes, as numerous existing ones currently lack substantial validity; and (iii) harnesses machine learning technology to facilitate personalized predictions.
