B04 explores JASMONATE-ZIM-DOMAIN PROTEIN 9 (JAZ9), a crucial negative regulator of JA signalling. JAZ proteins play key roles in fundamental developmental processes and environmental adaptation. They inhibit TFs governing JA responses, and in the presence of JA-Isoleucine, they bind to the E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, leading to their degradation and liberation of TFs initiating JA responses. B04 focuses on natural JAZ9 variants affecting interaction with target proteins and E3 ubiquitin ligase complex formation, examined through protein-protein interaction and stability assays.
