In this project, we elevate the notion of design time consistency for autonomous traffic agents (ATAs) to a level of dynamic consistency at run-time, where a constantly changing environment necessitates methods for regaining consistency. For this, we first identify run-time conflicts for ATAs as situations where the ATA cannot choose an action without violating rules or ATA goals (e.g. a safety goal). We summarise individual conflicts to formalised conflict clusters to tackle the problem of reasoning about infinitely many individual ATA conflicts. We then identify resolution strategies for each conflict cluster. As a conflict is a critical driving situation and its resolution often necessitates breaching traffic regulations, we add explanations to ensure a social acceptance of conflict-solving ATAs.
