Project Details
2D Networks and Heterojunctions with Controllable Morphology from Nanosheet Inks (A11*)
Subject Area
Physical Chemistry of Molecules, Liquids and Interfaces, Biophysical Chemistry
Term
since 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 417590517
The project aims to establish an adapted Langmuir-type deposition technique that is readily accessible for depositing 2DMs based on simple mill-cut PTFE parts. The emphasis will be on achieving well-defined and reproducible substrate coverage and morphology using both, spray coating and Langmuir-type deposition. An existing setup will be optimized to maximize reproducibility, and the fundamental factors influencing the morphology of the resulting thin films of 2D HSs will be investigated. Deposited samples with controlled spacing and overlap between individual nanosheets employed in the network, as well as iteratively deposited nanomaterial (homo- and heterojunctions) will be provided to the consortium.
