In this project, the key objective is to compute the leading Hadronic Vacuum Polarization (HVP) contribution to (g-2)μ with a precision of 0.7% using lattice QCD. This will be achieved by extending the set of gauge ensembles to smaller lattice spacings and larger volumes, offering much better control over discretization effects and finite-volume corrections. The determination of the lattice scale, which will become the limiting factor of the HVP determination on the lattice once the precision is pushed below the percent level, thus needs to be improved. This necessitates the inclusion of isospin-breaking corrections.
