The application is for a digital slide scanner that can be used to create digital images of tissue sections in the best quality and highest level of detail. In addition to individual slides, the device must be able to scan extensive serial sections of tissue blocks in a short time, which are then reconstructed in 3D using existing software solutions. The slide scanners requested by means of offers here digitise complete slides in bright field at high speed. They are easy to operate thanks to relatively intuitive software and yet offer flexibility to meet all necessary requirements. We assume a total of 42,000 slides are scanned per year. Only a few devices can do this, for each of which quotations were subsequently obtained. In order to enable the storage of the extensive digital image files and secure and independent access to these data by all participating working groups, the image files are to be stored on the servers of the regional computer centre. This incurs low costs. In order to enable targeted access to the individual image files by the individual work groups within a joint network application, we also favour a specific software solution that ensures that each work group can only access its image data and that these do not first have to be laboriously searched for in all the image files generated on the server. The desired software solution is suitable for far-reaching data analysis and reliably prevents files from being accidentally deleted.
