A system consisting of an ultra-high performance liquid chromatograph and a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer with linear ion trap and electrospray ionization is to be procured. The chromatographic system should consist of a binary high-pressure pump, a temperature-controlled column thermostat, an automatic sampler, and a temperature-controlled sampler. The tandem mass spectrometer shall have the highest sensitivity possible to make the analysis of very low concentrated compounds possible. Furthermore, the possibility of quantifying compounds by means of the so-called multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode should be given. For this reason, the acquisition of a hybrid triple quadrupole mass spectrometer with linear ion trap is intended. Another important component of the overall system is a powerful software that allows a reliable interpretation of the measurement data. The proposed system will be used mainly for the targeted analysis of small molecules, peptides and proteins. In addition, the system will be used to characterize bioactive food ingredients and their metabolites and to characterize reaction products from carbohydrates.
