In light of the constantly growing (also technical and legal) requirements and new developments of the scientific publication market, the working group of German University Publishers (AG Universitätsverlage) wants to reposition itself and make its previous mutual rather ad hoc support more available to external parties as best practice by structuring and processing experiences in the form of regular publications. The goal of this qualitative improvement of the processing of the experience of individuals for the scholar-led community is a greater sustainability and reusability of the services as well as an increase in efficiency and effectiveness. This also includes the development of a functional, appealing and privacy-compliant web presence and, in particular, the development of a living handbook on institutional publication services.
