Project Details
Characterisation and optimisation of the tribological properties of hybrid porous components in lubricated conditions (C05)
Subject Area
Engineering Design, Machine Elements, Product Development
Term
since 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 511263698
The behaviour of a tribological contact is influenced by the characteristics of the contacting bodies. Thus, it can be changed by using hybrid porous materials. The scope of this project is to characterise the properties of HyPo-components in tribological contacts, especially in lubricated conditions. Means and methods of tailoring their tribological behaviour and of evaluating their service life will be developed. This will be accomplished by conducting simulative work to understand and describe the relevant contact processes in HyPo-components and experimental characterising the tribological properties.
