Negative Scope Mismatches in Coordination (B04)

In project B04 we investigate scope interactions between negation and coordination. Our aim is to develop a unified theory of negative scope mismatches in various coordination constructions. By extending the empirical base to languages with differing typological properties, we will be able to evaluate existing approaches (i.e. Szabolcsi & Haddican 2004, Repp 2009) and reach at a better understanding of the syntactic and semantic source of the observed scope mismatches.
