... This proposal focusses on three topics: 1. Measurement of the permeability of relevant core samplex; its anisotropy and pressure dependence. The matrix permeabilities will be compared to borehole data. 2. The electrical parameters frequency dispersion of the electrical conductivity, streaming-, self- and zeta-potential provide information on the physical/chemical interactions between the rock matrix and the pore sturrand. They will be correlated with lithological parameters and borehole data and will be related to fluid mobilities. 3. Rheological properties of salt, recrystallisation and interactions with fluids will be studied under pressure/temperature conditions by means of energy dispersive x-ray diffraction. The loss of water and/or structural changes will thus be detectable.
