Cardiovascular and metabolic properties, gonadal functions and steroid metabolism in mice lacking the androgen receptor or androgen production (M03)

The PIs will employ the same mouse models (TFM and CYP17KI) as used in project M01 and look at post-natal development. In this project an extensive phenotyping of XY animals with 17α-hydroxylase deficiency or androgen insensitivity will be done at different time-points during age-dependent development, testing cardiovascular and metabolic properties in vivo for aspects in which they recapitulate the phenotype of humans with DSD.
