The project investigates civilian war sensing which refers to non-military media and data practices using mobile, social and sensor-based media through which individuals and organizations document, archive and investigate war events. Two complementary studies on Russia's war in Ukraine examine how investigative practices of international activists and documentary practices on Telegram cooperatively bring forth war representations and situated knowledge politics. The project aims at a qualita-tive-empirical description of war sensing together with partners in Ukraine and the EU.
