Subject Area
Theatre and Media Studies
Term
since 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 262513311
The project examines collaborative processes of semi-autonomization based on sensor technologies in the field of precision farming and closed-loop sensing from a media-theoretical, media-historical, and media-praxeological perspective. Against the background of current socio-political and ecological challenges in the agricultural sector, the project uses the example of digital herding to evaluate the question of how cooperative media practices create virtual geographical borders. It thus makes a praxeological contribution to the shared history of media, technology and agriculture of border practices together with the empirical analysis of their implementation.
