Project Details
High-resolution photoelektron momentum microscopy of organic charge-transfer salts at variable temperature (B08)
Subject Area
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
Term
from 2007 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 31867626
The project focuses on the determination of the electronic structure of organic charge-transfer salts by applying a novel approach of angle-resolved photoemission, called time-of-flight momentum microscopy. This gives access to the valence band structure and its temperature dependence, simultaneously in the relevant energy band and the full Brillouin zone with minimum radiation damage and high spatial resolution. Results for k-(BEDT-TTF)2X and TMTTF2X crystals will be compared with theoretical calculations. Synchrotron-based NEXAFS and HAXPES yield complementary information on details of the charge-transfer process.
