Term

Inflammatory bowel disease is closely linked with bone loss and increased risk for osteoporosis and fractures. The project A03 will determine the complex interactions between the gut micromilieu and skeletal health. A03 aims to analyze the role of T cell activation in the gut and the subsequent trafficking of T cells from the gut to bone conveying articular inflammation and subsequent bone loss in patients with IBD.
