By applying photometric observations in various broad-band filters to a sample of Low Surface Brightness (LSB) galaxies the composition of the stellar populations in these galaxies will be investigated. This will enable us to constrain the evolutionary history of these galaxies. The aim is to search for LSB galaxies in selected fields, in order to compare the distribution and possible biasing in comparison to normal galaxies. Furthermore, a sample of disk galaxies, harboring anomalous bulge-components (inconsistent with current formation models), will be investigated using broad- and narrow-band imaging. Here the aim is to show in how far these bulges might be formed by interactions with other galaxies. Further kinematical information, to be obtained by spectroscopy, should supplement the imaging observations.
