Engineering Consistent CPS Generations (C01)

The model of product generation engineering (PGE) describes the development of products in so called product generations. Each generation is based on references, taken over into the new product generation, using one of three different variation operators. Developing modern day products, such as CPSs, involves numerous models whereas each of these heterogenous artifacts may be connected to one another. Challenges arise, when multiple product generations are affected by changes and inconsistency is created across models and product generations. We therefore envision a V-SUM based approach, capable of preserving consistency within and also across product generations.
