Project Details
Plasma proteome and metabolome signatures to better understand, monitor and predict neuroblastoma evolution (B05)
Subject Area
Hematology, Oncology
Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine
Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine
Term
since 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 493872418
Project uses ultra-high-throughput proteomics and metabolomics technologies to characterize blood and tumor samples from genetically modified mouse models and patients with high-risk neuroblastoma. By combining proteomic and metabolomic data with existing (epi)genomic data, omics networks in the cell will be illuminated to identify potential biomarkers or signatures in liquid biopsies. The validity of the biomarkers will be assessed in a control cohort to determine their potential to predict disease progression and outcomes). The goal is noninvasive disease surveillance in high-risk neuroblastoma patients.
