This project uses single cell sequencing to gain deep insights into the evolutionary processes of high-risk neuroblastoma. Cell nuclei are isolated from neuroblastoma samples and sequencing libraries are constructed to identify sub-clonal genomic alterations. The project aims to gain insights into clonal neuroblastoma evolution during tumor spread and relapse after chemotherapy and to reveal principles of mutational selection. The results may help develop more effective treatments after validation by other methods.
