The aim of the subproject is to develop a new type of grinding tool with increased mechanical load on the basis of already known stresses and modifications. For this purpose, spherical, blocky grains are bonded in an elastic bonding system instead of a sharp abrasive medium. Furthermore, a systematic analysis of the grain engagement with the workpiece is carried out for stresses (simulative) and the mechanisms of interaction as well as the resulting modification of the surface and subsurface properties.
