Term
since 2023
Project identifier

The aim of the project is a better understanding of multimetallic clusters containing lanthanide (Ln) ions. Through targeted design, these clusters will be used in bond activation processes. To gain new insights into the fundamental properties and potential applicability of multimetallic clusters, examples containing Ln ions are ideal, as they allow for fine-tuning of properties by embedding the respective ions with their different fn-configurations and sizes within or on the surface of related metal cages.
