Project Details
Induction of Antigen-specific Treg responses as therapeutic targets for chronic inflammatory diseases (B03)
Subject Area
Immunology
Term
since 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 490846870
B03 will analyse antigen-specific Treg cell responses and identify human Treg cell target antigens, derived from inhaled particles known to be strong natural Treg inducers in humans. Human Treg cell responses following natural exposure or antigen-specific immune therapy (AIT) will be analyzed. Test antigen formulations and pulmonary application regimes mimicking these natural Treg antigens will be tested in murine models to develop Treg vaccination strategies and define critical cells and pathways. We will provide a basis for rational antigen-specific Treg therapy development in human immune-mediated diseases.
