This proposal aims on the development of a structured-illumination super-resolution full-field X-ray transmission microscope at an inverse Compton X-ray source. In a proof-of-principle study at a third-generation synchrotron light source, the practical realisation of the proposed imaging method could be demonstrated. On this basis, the technique is going to be adapted to the specific requirements of the X-ray properties provided by inverse Compton X-ray sources. Employing these results, a structured-illumination super-resolution full-field X-ray transmission microscope is going to be established experimentally. In the framework of this project, also the image reconstruction method used in the proof-of-principle study is going to be improved employing Fourier-space methods. The strategy for this work package is inspired by the methods developed for visible-light structured illumination microscopy.
