Fully automated fluorescence-based high-content multiplexing imaging device

Subject Area Microbiology, Virology and Immunology
Term Funded in 2023
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 513332576

The instrument is a fully automated fluorescence-based high-content multiplexing imaging device that enables highly multiplexed spatial phenotyping of whole slides at single-cell resolution by integrating automated fluidics and iterative imaging. The system can also detect RNA and therefore offers complementary insights into cell states and phenotypes It provides a high resolution, enabling true single cell and sub-cellular resolution. It is compatible with archived whole-slides, FFPE tissues, fresh-frozen samples, tissue microarrays, tissue sections, and organoids. Spatial phenotyping provided by this instrument enables the mapping and analysis of millions of cells and their interactions within a single intact tissue section with single-step staining and gentle reporter removal to preserve sample integrity for downstream analyses such as H&E staining or region-of-interest analysis
