The Technical University of Darmstadt strives to further expand the existing measures to promote and financially support the transition of scientific publication culture towards an open access model. The funds already established for the financing of open access publication costs are to be better structured and converted into a permanent basic financial framework - from the university’s and the library’s own resources, combined with additional funding from the DFG. New approaches towards recording publication data and costs should ensure comprehensive cost transparency in the long term.This restructuring aims to enable the publication of the research results achieved at the Technical University of Darmstadt in freely accessible articles and monographs without representing a financial or organizational burden on the researchers. It is embedded in numerous measures at TU Darmstadt for organizational, technical and financial support in the field of open access and open science in general.
