Ceramic Hybrid-Filter-Systems for the ESR-Ingot casting (T09#)

In terms of a transfer project with Schmiedewerke Gröditz GmbH (SWG) new filter systems for the ingot casting of electrodes for the electro-slag remelting process (ESR) will be investigated according their impact to the filtration of inclusions. The filter will be placed in the casting mould and during the steel casting the filter moves to the surface of the mould; thereby the convection of the melt contributes additionally to the filtration process.
